The Odyssey reunites Christopher Nolan with Elliot Page, Hamish Patel and Bill Erwin as Samantha Morton also joins the cast

February 3, 2025 by Ricky Church

In the latest round of casting in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming Greek tragedy epic The Odyssey, he is set to reunite with several cast members from his previous films as well as one new one. Now joining Nolan’s next production is Elliot Page, Hamish Patel, Bill Irwin and Samantha Morton.

Page previously starred in Nolan’s Inception as the second co-lead opposite Leonardo DiCaprio while Patel starred in Tenet with John David Washington and Robert Pattinson. Though he did not appear physically in Interstellar, Irwin also voiced the robot TARS who served as a significant companion to Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway in their journey across the galaxy.

The Odyssey marks Morton’s first time working with Nolan. She is most known for her roles in The Walking Dead, Minority Report, The Serpent Queen and The Whale.

The Odyssey will feature a huge ensemble of actors, many of whom have worked with Nolan previously. The new cast members join the previously announced Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron and Jon Bernthal.

Christopher Nolan’s next film, The Odyssey, is a mythic action epic shot across the world using brand new Imax film technology. The film brings Homer’s foundational saga to Imax film screens for the first time and opens in theaters everywhere on July 17, 2026.
