The Top 100 Your Sinclair ZX Spectrum Games: #95 – The Train Game

May 25, 2016 by Villordsutch

Villordsutch counts down Your Sinclair’s Top 100 ZX Spectrum Games…

After the frantic Cruising on Broadway, you’d probably be under the impression that #95 The Train Game is a sedate little number; however you’d be very wrong and after twenty minutes of this you’ll possibly be suffering from an acute migraine due to stress.

The Train Game was released by Microsphere back in 1983, the same stable that brought us such classic games as Skool Daze, Back to Skool and Wheelie we’re given The Train Game.  Here you’re delivered a track with numerous junctions each controlled by a corresponding letter on the keyboard.  The train constantly moves around the track and it’s your job to collect the passengers – before they become irate – and also to make sure you don’t derail the train in the process.

For what sounds extremely easy on paper you’ll soon discover in practice it really isn’t. Watch the video here…
