The truth will resurface in trailer for fantasy thriller River of Ghosts

December 22, 2023 by Amie Cranswick

Ahead of its digital release this January, Freestyle Digital Media has shared a poster and trailer for the upcoming fantasy mystery-thriller River of Ghosts.

Written and directed by Jules East, the film follows Dr. Halton (Connor Floyd), a Stanford psychiatry dropout who returns to his hometown to practice hypnotherapy, where he opens a can of worms – and receives the recognition he craves – with his most challenging case. Watch the trailer below…

RIVER OF GHOSTS follows the story of Dr. Halton, a Stanford psychiatry student who returns to his small river hometown to practice as a hypnotherapist. As Dr. Halton dives deep into the town folks’ psyche and helps them solve their problems, he quickly becomes a popular doctor. However, still facing criticism and self-doubt, eager to prove himself, Dr. Halton finally meets a really challenging case that opens up a can of worms–of what happened by the river. The case has also earned him the recognition he craves. Through the process, Dr. Halton meets his own shadow and blockage that have to be cleansed away by the glistening water of the river for personal growth and maturity as a healer-doctor.

River of Ghosts arrives on digital platforms on January 9th.
