This Is the Police 2 coming to consoles this September

August 10, 2018 by Andrew Newton

After its recent (and early) release on PC, police strategy sequel This is the Police 2 will be arriving on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch on 25th September.  This sequel will take players to a new town as a new sheriff and introduce a new gameplay mechanic that provides an entirely different policing experience to that of the original game.

In This is the Police 2 players take a journey to the cold frontier town of Sharpwood to follow the journey of new sheriff Lilly Reed. Unlike Police Chief Jack Boyd’s role in the big city of the original game, Lilly Reed is not so overburdened by the red tape of bureaucracy so will be able to provide direct control of her officers during dangerous and difficult missions.

Just like the first game, This is the Police 2 is a mix of adventure and management genres, athough police officers are no longer treated like a resource but are individuals with their own strengths, weaknesses, fears and prejudices. During particularly dangerous call outs the game will switch to a new turn based combat mode that will see players having to guide their officers into advantageous positions and make arrests, although, make the wrong decision and the police officer’s life could be jeopardised

Look out for This is the Police 2 arriving on consoles this September.
