TNT places series order for Tales from the Crypt reboot from M. Night Shyamalan

April 14, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Back in January it was announced that M. Night Shyamalan was developing a relaunch of Tales from the Crypt to spearhead a new horror and suspense program block for TNT.

Well, the network has now made it official, with Entertainment Weekly reporting that it has been granted a ten episode series order for the cult anthology show, which will be hosted by a “newly reinvented” Crypt Keeper.

Tales from the Crypt will be joined in the program block by the midwestern slash series Time of Death, along with the psychological thriller Creatures. Shyamalan will curate additional short and long-form projects, under the “guidance” of the Crypt Keeper.

“I’m really thrilled about the way this horror block is coming together with the addition of Time of Death and Creatures,” states Shyamalan. “That such a beloved property like Tales from the Crypt is launching our evening makes it an even more unique and exciting opportunity. Across the board, the level of talent has been very inspiring.”
