Tom Hanks’ WWII movie Greyhound pushed back to 2020

Sony Pictures has announced that it has pushed back the release of the Tom Hanks World War II movie Greyhound, with the film now scheduled to arrive on May 8th 2020 from its original March 22nd 2019 date.

Scripted by Hanks and directed by Aaron Schneider, Greyhound will see the two-time Oscar-winner playing Commander Ernest Krause,  a career naval officer given the command of a destroyer, who along with the enemy fights his self doubts and personal demons to prove he belongs.

Hanks is joined in the cast of Greyhound by Stephen Graham (This Is England), Elisabeth Shue (Death Wish), Rob Morgan (Mudbound), Karl Glusman (Nocturnal Animals), Manuel Garcia Rulfo (The Magnificent Seven) and Tom Brittney (Outlander).

In addition to the Greyhound movie, Sony has also recently announced that Ghotsbusters 3 will open on July 10th 2020 and the Spider-Man spinoff Morbius will hit cinemas later that month on July 31st 2020.
