Paramount has released a trailer for director Brad Anderson’s (Session 9, The Machinist) upcoming crime thriller The Silent Hour.

Joel Kinnaman stars as Frank, a detective returning back to work after an injury leaves with permanent hearing loss. But after he is assigned to interpret for a deaf witness (Sandra Mae Frank) of a brutal murder, the pair find themselves the target of the killers who plan to eliminate her and must work together to make it out alive. Check out the trailer and official promotional images below…

Boston Detective Frank Shaw (Joel Kinnaman) returns to duty after a career-altering injury leaves him with permanent hearing loss. Tasked with interpreting for Ava Fremont (Sandra Mae Frank), a deaf witness to a brutal gang murder, they find themselves cornered in a soon-to-be-condemned apartment building when the killers return to eliminate her. Cut off from the outside world, these two strangers must lean on each other to outsmart killers they can’t hear coming for their only hope of making it out alive.

The film stars Joel Kinnaman, Sandra Mae Frank, Mekhi Phifer and Mark Strong.

The Silent Hour arrives in cinemas and on digital on October 11th.
