Trailer for survival horror Skin Witch introduces new features

March 3, 2020 by Andrew Newton

Indie developer Blackwood Specter has released a brand new trailer for their upcoming survival horror title, Skin Witch.  This latest trailer reveals some of the weapons in the game including a makeshift flamethrower and explosives, and plays one of the ominous tracks from the game’s soundtrack (composed by Guild of Lore).

In Skin Witch players are sent to investigate an old underground mine when suddenly they become trapped and surrounded by skin-changed beasts.  Players need to escape this dark, seemingly hopeless setting and incinerate, shoot and blast apart every beast out for blood.

The game features:

  • Players will have plenty of weapons but only limited ammo, choose when to use the ammo carefully or end up carrying a fancy paper-weight.
  • Unique puzzle set in a disturbing environment.
  • Face horrific bestial creatures that were once human and made very tough to kill by the Skin Witch.  Only way to kill them is by removing the skin.
  • The dark mines are a labyrinth of tunnels and players can choose any route to take, players can also use explosives to block any tunnel off, trapping any pursuing beasts.

“With Skin Witch it was very important to return to the concept of self-defense in survival horror. With weapons, you have the power of choice. Your fate is in your own hands.”

Skin Witch will release on Steam this spring.
