Update 2 brings new tracks to DeathSprint 66

November 28, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Publisher Secret Mode and developer Sumo Newcastle have released Update #2 for their brutal, high-speed foot racing game DeathSprint 66.  Included in this brand-new update are three more tracks for players to race over as well as a new Prestige Mode.  Watch the trailer below for a peek at these new tracks.

The trio of new courses have been deviously designed to provide players a challenging run for their clones.  Called Vertigo, Blackout and Smog, these courses live up to their name with Vertigo taking place high above the ground, Blackout being a very dark track and Smog being shrouded in a thick haze.

The Prestige Mode will allow those racers dedicated enough to have reached Fame level 66 the choice to reset their rank to receive additional cosmetic rewards that they can use to show off their Clone Jockey on the track.

Update #2 isn’t the last update players will see for DeathSprint 66 as the developers have revealed an updated roadmap that provides more information on the updates scheduled to arrive over the coming months.

DeathSprint 66 allows players to take part in 8 player PvP on-foot races across a variety of extreme obstacle courses as a Clone Jockey with an endless supply of clones at their disposal.  The courses are brutal and unforgiving, but fortunately players can gain deadly abilities such as Giga Saw and Enraged Charge to give them the edge in the race.  Players will need to avoid booby traps and be prepared for moves from other players if they are to win. However, winning isn’t enough, the audience needs to be entertained for players to earn fame.

DeathSprint 66 is available now on Steam. Download the game and get racing.
