Vampire survival horror Eternal Evil arrives on consoles

May 31, 2025 by Andrew Newton

The vampires thirst for blood begins on Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as the atmospheric first-person survival horror game Eternal Evil arrives. The game has been available on Steam for some time and has received positive reviews, now it’s time for console players to take on a city full of vampires.  Watch the new console launch trailer below…

Inspired by the golden age of survival horrors, Eternal Evil takes players to a small town that is going through its own little apocalyptic event in the form of its residents turning into bloodthirsty vampires and attacking the living. The situation is dire and those who are still alive are spending all their time trying to stay that way rather than find out what happened. It’s up to players to uncover what has caused this outbreak of vampirism and why.

As either detective Hank Richards or ex-military grunt Marcus, it will be up to players to set out on these dangerous streets and find answers to who or what has caused this town’s problems. To do this, players will have to carefully inspect objects and notes that stand out, explore their surroundings, solve puzzles and of course, use a variety of firearms to despatch the ghoulish creatures.  Every second spent near these vampires makes them faster, tougher and more bloodthirsty, so it pays to make every bullet count before they get too close.

Eternal Evil features:

  • Dual narrative campaign allows players to play as one of two different characters and uncover two sides of the same outbreak.
  • A variety of firearms to use, limited ammo and realistic shooting.
  • Solve complex environmental puzzles without waypoints or tutorials.
  • Evolving enemies that are unforgiving.
  • Three levels of difficulty.
  • A dark atmosphere and intriguing story.

Eternal Evil is available from the Playstation Store and Xbox Store now.
