Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine VR – Defenders of Avarax now available to play at Zero Latency

September 25, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Zero Latency VR, the largest true in-person free-roam VR network in the world, has announced that Space Marine VR – Defenders of Avarax is now available to play.  Set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, Space Marine VR – Defenders of Avarax takes players on an immersive action-packed adventure to an alien world under attack from swarms of Tyranids.

The Warhammer 40,000 universe is one filled with battle, where humans have to fight for survival against xeno and otherworldly threats from every direction.  In Space Marine VR – Defenders of Avarax players will become one of the genetically modified super-soldiers known as Space Marines and dive into a vast Hive City to thwart the invasion of the relentless Tyranid race.

Armed with an arsenal of powerful weapons players will need to rain death upon this terrifying xeno horde across the most expansive and intricately designed VR battlefield ever created.

“This project has been a real labour of love, and I couldn’t be more proud of our team’s extraordinary effort to bring this vision to life,” said Tim Ruse, CEO of Zero Latency. “We’re absolutely thrilled about our groundbreaking collaboration with Games Workshop, which has allowed us to bring their legendary Warhammer 40,000 universe to life in a completely new and captivating way. This is a historic first for the franchise, and we’ve worked hard to craft an experience that’s truly special – one that will captivate both die-hard fans and newcomers like never before.”

Zero Latency has over 100 venues worldwide and provides immersive adventures and experiences for more than 4 million players a year.  Players can choose from a variety of games, from blasting zombies to solving puzzles, and there are also familiar franchises such as Far Cry.

Visit the Zero Latency website and book a session on Space Marine VR – Defenders of Avarax.
