Watchmen Chapter II trailer reveals December release date on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and Digital

Warner Bros. Animation have released a new trailer for Watchmen Chapter II which also announces a release date for digital and home media. Watch the trailer below…

Watchmen Chapter II will adapt the second half of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ classic and groundbreaking graphic novel Watchmen, which sees the remaining superheroes coming together in the wake of Rorschach’s arrest and Dr. Manhattan’s departure from Earth as mysterious forces push the world closer to the brink of nuclear annihilation.

The film will be released first on digital streaming on November 26th followed by its 4K Ultra HD and blu-ray physical release on December 3rd. It will include the following special features:

  • The Art of Adaptation: Building to the Final Act
  • Dave Gibbons and Watchmen: Chapters 7-12
  • Designing Watchmen

Watchmen Chapter II will be directed by Brandon Vietti, who returns after directing the first chapter, from a script by J. Michael Straczynski. Vietti will produce alongside Jim Krieg and Cindy Rago with Sam Register, Larry Gordon and Lloyd Levin executive producing. Gibbons will serve as a consulting producer.

Outlawed superheroes grapple with their personal lives and each other while racing the clock to solve a deepening mystery connected to an impending nuclear war between the United States and Russia.

Watchmen Chapter II features the voice talents of Matthew Rhys (Dan Dreiberg/Nite Owl), Katee Sackhoff (Laurie Juspeczyk/Silk Spectre II), Titus Welliver (Rorschach/Walter Kovacs) along with Troy Baker (Adrian Veidt,/Ozymandias), Adrienne Barbeau (Sally Jupiter/Silk Spectre), Michael Cerveris (Jonathan Osterman/Dr. Manhattan), Zehra Fazal (Hira Manish, Newscaster), Phil Fondacaro (Tom Ryan, Big Figure), Grey Griffin (Female Citizen #1, Advisor #1) John Marshall Jones (Hooded Justice), Max Koch (Bernard, President Nixon, Lawrence Andrews), Phil LaMarr (Comic Book Narrator, Bernie, Male Citizen #1), Yuri Lowenthal (Seymour, Knot Top #2, Bully #1), Long Nguyen (Attendant #1), Geoff Pierson (Hollis Mason, Prison Guard #1), Jason Spisak (Doug Roth, Bully #2, Hector Godfrey), Kari Wahlgren (Sylvia Kovacs, Female Knot Top), and Rick D. Wasserman (Edward Blake/The Comedian).

Watchmen Chapter II will be available on digital November 26th followed by 4K and blu-ray release December 3rd.
