GKIDS has announced that Lee Pace (Guardians of the Galaxy), Alison Brie (GLOW), Riz Ahmed (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), and Brandon Engman (Empathy, Inc.) will lend their voices to the English cast of the anime Weathering With You, which is written and directed by Makoto Shinkai (Your Name).
Weathering With You was Japan’s highest-grossing local movie last year, and is also the country’s official selection at the Academy Awards for the Best International Feature category, the first anime feature submitted for consideration since Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki’s 1997 masterpiece Princess Mononoke.

The summer of his high school freshman year, Hodaka runs away from his remote island home to Tokyo, and quickly finds himself pushed to his financial and personal limits.
