Woody Harrelson and Justin Theroux are White House Plumbers in trailer for HBO series

March 30, 2023 by Amie Cranswick

HBO has released a new trailer for the limited political drama series White House Plumbers.

Based on Egil Krogh’s 2007 book Integrity, it tells the story of Watergate masterminds and President Nixon’s political operatives E. Howard Hunt (Woody Harrelson) and G. Gordon Liddy (Justin Theroux), who accidentally toppled the presidency they were trying to protect. Check out the trailer below…

White House Plumbers takes the audience behind-the-scenes of the Watergate scandal as Nixon’s political saboteurs, E. Howard Hunt (Woody Harrelson) and G. Gordon Liddy (Justin Theroux), accidentally topple the presidency they were zealously trying to protect… and their families along with it. Chronicling actions on the ground, this satirical drama begins in 1971 when the White House hires Hunt and Liddy, former CIA and FBI, respectively, to investigate the Pentagon Papers leak. After failing upward, the unlikely pair lands on the Committee to Re-Elect the President, plotting several unbelievable covert ops – including bugging the Democratic National Committee offices at the Watergate complex. Proving that history can sometimes be stranger than fiction, White House Plumbers sheds light on the lesser-known series of events that led to one of America’s greatest political crimes.

The White House Plumbers stars Woody Harrelson as E. Howard Hunt, Justin Theroux as G. Gordon Liddy, Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) as Dorothy Hunt, Judy Greer (The First Lady) as Fran Liddy, Domhnall Gleeson (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker) as John Dean, Toby Huss (Weird: The Al Yankovic Story) as James McCord, Ike Barinholtz (The Afterparty) as Jeb Magruder, Kathleen Turner (The Kominsky Method) as Dita Beard, Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy) as Frank Sturgis, Yul Vazquez (Severance) as Bernard “Macho” Barker, Alexis Valdés (Natural Born Narco) as Felipe De Diego, Nelson Ascencio (Godmothered) as Virgilio “Villo” Gonzalez, Tony Plana (Bombshell) as Eugenio “Muscolito” Martinez, Zoe Levin (Bonding) as Lisa Hunt, Liam James (The Killing) as Saint John Hunt, Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) as Kevan Hunt, Tre Ryder (Jill) as David Hunt, David Krumholtz (The Plot Against America) as William O. Bittman, F. Murray Abraham (The White Lotus) as Judge Sirica, Rich Sommer (Mad Men) as Egil “Bud” Krogh and John Carroll Lynch (Big Sky) as John Mitchell.
