Writers Christina Hodson and Oren Uziel board final Fast & Furious movie

April 27, 2023 by EJ Moreno

The race to the final Fast and Furious movie has begun, and the film has its writers – new voices for the franchise.

Per Deadline, “Universal has set The Flash screenwriter Christina Hodson and Cloverfield screenwriter Oren Uziel” to pen the eleventh The Fast and the Furious installment. This follows news from this week that Fast X director Louis Leterrier is set to return for finale.

The 10th and 11th films are meant to be companion pieces, following up directly and attempting to give the franchise an epic conclusion. The studio and producers wanted “new voices” for the film, which is why Hodson and Uziel have joined.

The pair have never worked together, but Deadline notes “they have a close relationship and share office space,” which is why they feel like they’d be an excellent fit for the collaboration.
