Xbox Games With Gold for June 2021 announced

May 27, 2021 by Andrew Newton

Xbox Games with Gold for June 2021 have been announced and it’s a month of fighting heroes and villains, taking on powerful demons and exploring a world hidden by a tyrant.

Throughout the whole of June, Xbox One gamers can download Serenity Forge’s The King’s Bird.  This 2D momentum-based game has players escaping into a realm kept secret by a tyrannical ruler.  Players will find out more about themselves as they explore 5 long forgotten environments in this unique physics-based gliding game.

From 16th June to 15th July gamers will be able to download the latest adventure in the Heretic Kingdoms saga, Shadows: Awakening.  In this single-player RPG the secret council known as the Penta Nera are consumed by demons who then take their place, and it is up to players to take the form of a demon known as the Devourer to consume the souls of long-dead heroes and set out on a quest to save the world or plunge it into even more chaos.

For the Xbox 360, and through backwards compatibility, players will be able to enjoy NEOGEO Battle Coliseum and fight as a wealth of characters from NEOGEO’s huge cast of fighting characters from games such as Fatal Fury, King of Fighters, King of Monsters, Metal Slug, Samurai Shodown and more.  Though NEOGEO never took off hugely in the UK they do have a reputation for good solid fighters.

Finally, for the second half of June it’s time to enjoy NetherRealm’s fighting game based on DC Comic’s superheroes universe with Injustice: Gods Among Us.  Set in a parallel universe in DC’s multiverse, good old Superman has turned into a tyrant after the Joker kills Lois with a nuke.  It’s up to Batman to stop him with the help of a variety of heroes and villains.

That’s June’s line-up in a nutshell, but what do you think of the games? Currently, the announcement video on Youtube has more dislikes than likes but we’d love to hear your thoughts on our social media accounts.
