Zack Snyder mocks Superman’s CGI moustache removal in Justice League

March 1, 2018 by Amie Cranswick

Whether you loved Justice League or hated it, one thing I think we can all pretty much agree on was that it was a major mistake for Warner Bros. to attempt to digitally remove Henry Cavill’s Mission: Impossible – Fallout moustache from the film’s extensive reshoots, resulting in a Superman that looked… well… hilariously bad, to be quite honest.

Last month, the Merc with a Mouth took a jab at the CGI shave in the first trailer for Deadpool 2, and now even the movie’s original director Zack Snyder is at it with a series of posts on his Vero account.

Zack Snyder was forced to step down as director on Justice League after the tragic suicide of his daughter, handing over the reins to Joss Whedon. However, Snyder fans have since lobbied for a Director’s Cut of the movie, while recent rumours have claimed that he was actually fired from the movie after delivering an “unwatchable” rough cut.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
