A trio of villains rumoured for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

July 3, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Earlier today we got our first look at Henry Cavill suited up as the Man of Steel in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but preceding that a new rumour emerged via Latino-Review, who claim to have uncovered a trio of secondary villains set to join Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor in the DC ensemble.

According to the site, Ben Affleck’s Batman will tussle with the deranged serial killer Victor Zsasz early on in the film in Gotham, while Morgan Edge will feature as a PR exec at LexCorp and the assassin David Cain will be hired by Luthor’s bodyguard Mercy (rumored to be played by Tao Okamoto) to set up a hit. The report goes on to suggest that previous rumours about Metallo and The Joker are inaccurate, as well as suggesting that Amanda Waller will also feature in the cast. As always, don’t take this as gospel until we hear something official, especially with rumours of a fake script doing the rounds…

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set for release on May 6th 2016, with Zack Snyder directing a cast that includes returning Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent) and Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) alongside Ben Affleck (Argo) as Batman, Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 6) as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg (Now You See Me) as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons (The Borgias) as Alfred Pennyworth and Holly Hunter (The Piano), Callan Mulvey (300: Rise of an Empire), Tao Okamoto (The Wolverine) and Scoot McNairy (Argo) in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
