Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Jeff Pinker to write The Amazing Spider-Man 3

October 2, 2013 by admin

Sony wasted little time in laying out the future of The Amazing Spider-Man franchise when it announced 2016 and 2018 release dates for the third and fourth instalments of the rebooted Marvel franchise, and now the studio has locked in its writers for The Amazing Spider-Man 3, with The Hollywood Reporter revealing that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 trio Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Jeff Pinker will be back for the threequel.

So far, all we know about The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is that Andrew Garfield will be back as the wall-crawler, although Chris Cooper (American Beauty) has indicated that Norman Osborn will feature prominently in the third movie, while there’s been rumblings that the likes of Electro (Jamie Foxx) and Rhino (Paul Giamatti) will return as part of the Sinister Six.

The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is set for release on June 10th 2016, while The Amazing Spider-Man 2 swings into cinemas on May 2nd next year.
