Star Wars: Episode VII arriving Spring/Summer 2015, Darth Vader TV Specials planned for 2014

October 18, 2013 by admin

The folks over at JediNews have just dropped two rather big pieces of Star Wars news, courtesy of a brochure that was being handed out at the European Brand Licensing Show, which included a section detailing Disney’s plans for the epic space opera over the next two years. The big news? Well, it seems that J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode VII will be getting a Spring/Summer 2015 release as opposed to the rumoured December slot (I’m guessing more towards Summer, seeing as Disney has The Avengers: Age of Ultron in May 2015), while it seems that the Dark Lord of the Sith himself Darth Vader is heading to the small screen for a series of TV Specials….

Looking at that, it seems like Disney is really making the most of its $4 billion investment, what with Episode VII and the Vader TV Specials joined by Star Wars Rebels, more LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles, the Phineas & Ferb Star Wars Special and an absolute tonne of other Star Wars goodness (well, hopefully).

How do you feel about Darth Vader heading to the small screen? Let us know in the comments below….
