The destruction in Man of Steel will play a major part in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

December 17, 2014 by admin

Since it was announced last year, we’ve heard a lot of talk about one half of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but not so much on the other. Over the weekend our comments section blew up as people gave their thoughts on the colour of Batman’s new outfit, but there wasn’t so much talk about Superman when his costume was revealed.

Warning – potential spoilers…

So, just what will become of the Last Son of Krypton in this team-up movie? Well, according to Bad Ass Digest, the destruction caused by the fight between Superman and Zod in Man of Steel will play a major role in the plot for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. According to their sources who have read the script, Superman has become a very controversial figure, having intervened in America’s fight in the Middle East and has even been banned from Chinese airspace. However, during his fight with Doomsday (who was “confirmed” by the site previously), General Swanwick informs people that Superman will take the fight away from populated areas – seemingly a play by Warner Bros. and DC against the criticisms they received for Man of Steel.

In his Clark Kent life, he is now living with Lois Lane but is frustrated that he has to cover the Gotham v Metropolis football game, rather wishing to investigate this strange Batman character (it’s also revealed that Bruce Wayne was in Metropolis during the Zod attack).

As always, there is a lot of rumour and speculation surrounding Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (including that fake script that some websites got their information from), so take this with a grain of salt.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25th, 2016 with Zack Snyder directing a cast that includes returning Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Harry Lennix (General Swanwick) alongside Ben Affleck (Argo) as Batman, Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 6) as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg (Now You See Me) as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons (The Borgias) as Alfred Pennyworth and Jena Malone (Sucker Punch), Holly Hunter (The Piano), Callan Mulvey (300: Rise of an Empire), Tao Okamoto (The Wolverine) and Scoot McNairy (Argo) in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
