UK box office top ten and analysis for the weekend of Friday 28th to Sunday 30th November 2014…
After just one week atop the UK chart, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 has been pushed down into second place, with new release Paddington taking top spot with a solid £5,125,519 opening weekend.
Despite being knocked from first place, Mockingjay – Part 1 has amassed £21.25 million in just 11 days, putting it virtually on par with the previous instalment The Hunger Games: Catching Fire at the same stage of release.
Two other new released managed to crack the top ten, with comedy sequel Horrible Bosses 2 earning £1,257,808 in fourth place, and documentary Hockney debuting in eighth with £161,163. Meanwhile, almost a year after its original release, Frozen re-entered the chart, pulling in £177,859 from its holiday reissue.
