Arrested Development returning for 17 more episodes

April 7, 2015 by Gary Collinson

It looks like the cult American sitcom Arrested Development is heading back to the small screen, with executive producer Brian Grazer revealing that a new batch of episodes is in the works.

“People are loyal to it and we’re going to do another 17 episodes,” said Grazer on Bill Simmons’ B.S. Report. “So stay tuned for more Arrested Development.”

Created by Michael Hurwitz, Arrested Development ran for two and a half seasons on Fox between 2003 and 2006, before being resurrected by Netflix for a fourth season in 2013. Despite low ratings, the show developed a loyal following and received much critical acclaim, as well as winning six Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe.
