Lady Sif will play a “pivotal” role in Thor: Ragnarok

July 21, 2015 by Justin Cook

Jaimie Alexander’s Lady Sif has played an important supporting role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in 2011’s Thor, 2013’s Thor: The Dark World and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but it appears that her character may have an even bigger role in 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Alexander stated, “Marvel, I think on purpose, they don’t tell me certain things. Because they know I’ll be like, ‘So here’s what’s gonna happen.’ But I do know I will be in Thor 3 and that Sif will have a very pivotal part in that movie. I just can’t tell you what because I’ll get shot.”

She went on to say that easters eggs for certain elements of Thor: Ragnarok will be put in Captain America: Civil War, just as little hints of the film have been placed in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

The film is still looking for a director, following the news that Thor director Kenneth Branagh was never in contention for the job.

Thor: Ragnarok will be released on October 27, 2017 in the UK and November 3, 2017 in the States. Both Chris Hemsworth (The Cabin in the Woods) and Tom Hiddleston (War Horse) are set to reprise their roles as Thor and Loki in the film.
