Colin Trevorrow talks Star Wars: Episode IX and “universe building”

September 21, 2015 by Luke Owen

While Rian Johnson is in Ireland to start production on Star Wars: Episode VIII, focus has of course shifted on to the future of the Star Wars franchise, with Colin Trevorrow (Jurassic World) taking the reigns on Star Wars: Episode IX.

Speaking with our friends over at Jurassic Cast, Trevorrow also dropped a couple of tidbits about his upcoming trip into a galaxy far, far, away.

“I obviously can’t talk too much about Star Wars, but the idea of that ‘Universe,’ that word gets thrown around a lot as far as movies are concerned and what people are building, that one’s an actual universe,” he argues. “I think that the size and scope of that… Every kind of story we can think of can be told in the Star Wars universe, because it is endless and boundless.”
