Rumour: Possible villain details and release date for Man of Steel 2

September 15, 2015 by Luke Owen

There’s been a lot of talk about Man of Steel 2 following the rumour that Mad Max: Fury Road director George Miller could be in line to take the director’s chair. With all of this going on, it should come as no surprise that El Mayimbe has a few scoops (read: guesses) about the plot and release date for the film.

According to Heroic Hollywood, the plot of Man of Steel 2 will focus on Superman fighting Brainiac and the film could be released in either 2019 and 2020.

Brainiac was originally rumoured for Justice League and Zack Synder has hinted that he could be used at some point in the future, so this seems like a fairly educated guess on the part of Mayimbe. The Collector of Worlds was also going to be the villain of Tim Burton’s Superman Lives played by Christopher Walken.

Nothing confirmed yet, and this smacks of very simple guess work from Heroic Hollywood, so make sure you take this with a pinch of salt.

UPDATE: El Mayimbe has been passing off more of his speculation as “insider knowledge”, claiming that Supergirl will be introduced, along with Bizarro. This for a movie that has no writer, no director, no release date, and no green light. If and when the film ever does become a reality, at least he’ll have plenty of bases covered…
