George Miller denies Man of Steel 2 rumours

October 1, 2015 by Gary Collinson

For the past month or so, the rumour mill has been buzzing with talk that Mad Max: Fury Road director George Miller is set to direct a DC movie, which may or may be Man of Steel 2. Or Justice League Dark. Well, according to the man himself, it’s not looking very likely – although he’s not ruling it out entirely either.

“There’s been some of that in the mix, but I’d say it’s probably not true,” the Australian filmmaker tells Digital Spy. “I was going to do a Justice League movie that fell through in 2009… I’ve always been interested. I work in mythology and superheroes are basically new incarnations of Greek and Roman mythology, so there’s always something of interest there. I grew up in an area that was mainly DC, so they are the pantheon for me.”

Miller also revealed that he’s hoping his next movie will be low on special effects and stunt work, so unless he has a change of heart it doesn’t seem like we’ll be seeing him turning his hand to the DC universe any time soon.
