The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 fends off The Good Dinosaur at the UK box office

UK box office top ten and analysis for the weekend of Friday 27th November to Sunday 29th November 2015…

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 held firm at the top of the UK box office in its second weekend, adding a further £4.53 million to push its haul to £19.32 million after eleven days.

Five newcomers managed to crack the top ten, led by Disney-Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur, which debuted in second place with £2,926,448 – a figure well below that of Inside Out, which opened with £7.38 million in July.

Steven Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies claimed fourth place with £1,682,392, followed by the Johnny Depp crime drama Black Mass in fifth with £1,272,249, romantic drama Carol in seventh with £540,632 and Bollywood romance Tamasha in eighth with £254,750.
