Lauren Cohan is playing Bruce Wayne’s mother in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

January 22, 2016 by Justin Cook

IMDb has confirmed that The Walking Dead actress Lauren Cohan will be playing Martha Wayne, Bruce Wayne’s mother, in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The actress will appear in the film alongside Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who is set to play Bruce’s father Thomas; interestingly enough, Morgan recently joined the cast of The Walking Dead as Negan, a villain who is sure to make things difficult for characters such as Cohan’s Maggie.

If all goes well, 2016 should be a huge year for Cohan. On top of The Walking Dead returning for the latter half of its sixth season in February, she also stars in the horror film The Boy, which was released into US theaters today, and just last week came on board the upcoming Tupac biopic All Eyez on Me, which is due out in November.

UPDATE: Here’s a glimpse of Cohan as Martha Wayne from the trailer…

Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
