Chris Pratt wants Star-Lord to meet The Punisher in Avengers: Infinity War

September 12, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Thanks to some comments from Vin Diesel, we know that – as expected – the Guardians of the Galaxy will be meeting Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, and Chris Pratt has been chatting to We Got This Covered about which Marvel character he’d most like to see crossing paths with Star-Lord in the upcoming superhero epic.

“Oh, gosh,” said Pratt. “I don’t know. I’ll have to leave all that to Marvel, releasing who’s going to fight what. Me personally, I don’t even know the right answer to that. If I say the wrong thing I’ll get in trouble by Marvel or by the fans. It’d be awesome – I would like Peter Quill to meet the Punisher. He’s not in the Avengers, but if I’m talking Marvel Cinematic Universe, I think it’d be cool for Peter Quill. Punisher was my favorite growing up so that’d be cool for me to meet him.”

Unfortunately for Pratt and for fans of Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle, it sounds very unlikely that any of the characters from Marvel’s Netflix world will be making the jump to the big screen for Infinity War. Maybe the best we’ll have to hope for is a Star-Lord cameo in The Punisher TV series?

Avengers: Infinity War is set for release on May 4th, 2018, but Pratt will be back as Star-Lord next year when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opens on May 5th 2017.
