Having surpassed the global haul of Man of Steel last weekend, Warner Bros.’ Suicide Squad has hit another box office milestone today, with the DC supervillain team-up crossing the $700 million mark at the worldwide box office.
Given that it’s a new superhero franchise, based upon a lesser-known comic book, and was absolutely ripped to shreds by critics, it’s certainly an impressive achievement, and director David Ayer has taken to Twitter to show his appreciation to fans:
