Much like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice before it, Warner Bros.’ Suicide Squad may have proven to be a hit at the box office, but it divided audiences, and receiving a rather vicious mauling from the majority of critics.
Taking to Twitter, director David Ayer has shared some rather honest reflections on the film, discussing his reaction to the critical backlash, as well as revealing what he would have done differently, given the benefit of hindsight.

David Ayer is set to get a second crack at the DC Extended Universe, reuniting with Suicide Squad’s Margot Robbie for the Harley Quinn-led Gotham City Sirens. Let’s hope Warner Bros. gives him more than six weeks to put the script together this time…
