10 WWE Superstars Who Could Join All Elite Wrestling

January 24, 2019 by Liam Hoofe

Goldust

This one really feels like a case of when and not if right now. Goldust is obviously Cody’s brother, and given his years of experience in the industry, he could prove to be a real asset to the company as they look to compete with the WWE.

While he may not be a massive star these days, he is still an incredibly experienced veteran who could add some legitimacy to AEW going forward.

The Revival

The Young Bucks Vs The Revival is a match fans have wanted to see for some time now, and if rumours of the group requesting their release from the company are true, then it could be something we will be getting to see very soon.

The Revival have had a rough ride since stepping up to the main roster, and the former NXT Champions are among the most respected teams in the WWE by the fanbase. The group have repeatedly lost on television over the last 12 months, and it would appear as though they have reached the end of their tether in recent weeks.

Zack Ryder

Zack Ryder’s time in the WWE has been incredibly strange. The former Edgehead got himself over by being one of the first superstars to embrace social media, but instead of being rewarded for his actions, he was thrown off the stage in a wheelchair by Kane.

Since then, Ryder has found occasional success, with his Intercontinental Title victory at WrestleMania 32 being one of his career highlights. These days, however, he is nothing more than a glorified enhancement talent. He is one of the most natural babyfaces the company has at their disposal, and AEW would be foolish to not at least try and tempt him away.

It also helps that Ryder and Cody are very good friends away from the ring, with the duo frequently exchanging tweets with one another. The Elite have also made social media a huge part of their business, and Ryder has more than enough experience to tap into that.

The Club (Gallows and Anderson)

When The Club arrived in the WWE at the same time as AJ Styles, and with Finn Balor making a name for himself in the company, fans expected some sort of Bullet Club reunion in the company.

Unfortunately, that never came to fruition and the group have spent the last few years lingering around the tag-team division, bouncing from meaningless feud to meaningless feud.

Given their history with a lot of the AEW guys, a move to Jacksonville could be incredibly tempting for the duo once their contracts expire later this year.
