Bryan Singer tweets a new-look Beast from X-Men: Days of Future Past

Director Bryan Singer has been pretty active on Twitter during pre-production on his forthcoming X-Men sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past, and it seems he’s also going to make good use of the social networking site during filming of the mutant superhero epic. Singer has just tweeted an image of who we presume to be Nicholas Hoult in full Beast make-up, which has completely dropped the feline design of X-Men: First Class in favour of a more traditional look…

So, filming hasn’t even started, and Singer has already eclipsed anything we’ve seen from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 director Marc Webb and his series of unrevealing behind-the-scenes tweets from the set of the Sony superhero sequel. Maybe we’ll see Webb firing back with a shot of Electro, although an electrician is probably more likely…

X-Men: Days of Future Past is set to begin filming this month, with a cast that includes X-Men veterans Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Ian McKellen (Magneto), James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Halle Berry (Storm), Ellen Page (Kitty Pryde), Shawn Ashmore (Iceman) and Daniel Cudmore (Colossus). Also set to feature in the cast are Fan Bingbing (Iron Man 3), Booboo Stewart (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse), Omar Sy (The Intouchables) and Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones), with the latter appearing as the film’s primary antagonist.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is currently set for release on July 18th, 2014.
