Kevin Smith offers Stan Lee a part in Clerks III

April 15, 2013 by admin

Kevin Smith is set to bring the curtain down on his filmmaking career by bringing things full circle with another Clerks movie, and during a recent edition of his podcast Fatman on Batman, Smith has revealed that he’s written a part for a familiar face from the View Askewniverse in Clerks III.

“I’m writing Clerks III and you’ve got a part,” Smith told comic book legend Stan Lee, who of course popped up in 1995’s Mallrats to offer some sage advice to Brodie Bruce (Jason Lee). “You’re in the first… I think it’s like the first ten minutes.”

So far confirmed to appear in Clerks III alongside Brian O’Halloran and Jeff Anderson’s Dante and Randall are Jason Mewes and Smith as Jay and Silent Bob, along with Clerks II stars Trevor Fehrman (Elias) and Rosario Dawson (Becky) and Marilyn Ghigliotti, who portrayed Dante’s girlfriend Veronica in 1994’s Clerks.
