Charlie Hunnam drops out of Fifty Shades of Grey

October 12, 2013 by admin

A few months ago, a collective sigh and groan of mass disappointment ensued as a result of the casting of Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy, Pacific Rim) in the Fifty Shades of Grey adaptation. Thankfully, the Kaiju bashing, redneck smashing has dropped out of the “mummy porn” adaptation due to his “immersive TV schedule” on Sons of Anarchy, which “is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey.”
The one-time Green Street star has Guillermo del Toro’s horror pic Crimson Peak and the all-star Triple Nine coming up over the next few years. Who will replace Hunnam alongside Dakota Johnson (The Social Network) is yet to be announced, but in all honesty, any piece of casting will do very little to create any sense of excitement…
Unless it’s Affleck. Let’s cast Affleck. He can’t piss off anyone else surely.
