Friday the 13th to go down the found footage route?

October 3, 2013 by admin

Despite the ever-diminishing returns for the Paranormal Activity series, it appears that Paramount Pictures could be looking to channel the low-budget horror series for the latest instalment in the Friday the 13th franchise, with reports emerging that the studio is inviting pitches that will incorporate the found footage format for our latest trip to Crystal Lake.

Paramount have until 2015 to get another Friday the 13th movie into cinemas before the rights revert back to Warner Bros., so we should expect to see Jason Voorhees making his return before too long. Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes is still attached to produce the film, having rebooted the series back in 2009.

Would you like to see the Friday the 13th franchise going down the found footage route? Let us know in the comments below….
