Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg set to produce raunchy comedy Cherries

October 3, 2013 by admin

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg (This Is the End) have added another major project to their calenders, as they’re now set to produce a raunchy comedy called Cherries. It’s quite a surprise considering the pair are set to be involved with The Interview, and have a rather curious animated project coming up known simply as Sausage Party. Set to direct the film are Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, writers of Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle and directors of the duo’s Guantanamo Bay adventure.

Cherries involves three fathers who try to intervene when they learn their daughters took up a pact to lose their virginity on prom night, said by many to be American Pie in reverse. The idea certainly seems amusing, and should be ripe with laughs. Not to mention the names of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg should draw quite a field of comedic talent to the film. From first glance it seems Cherries could be quite the memorable teen comedy, with a major twist in what seems to be an on-going trend of middle aged delinquency movies.
