Colin Farrell in talks for True Detective season 2

Yesterday we brought you some comments on the upcoming second season of True Detective from creator Nic Pizzolatto, and now it looks like the Emmy Award-nominated series has found the first of its new leads.

According to Variety Colin Farrell is in talks with HBO about boarding the show, with picked up 12 Emmy nominations earlier in the week, including Best Actor nods for its two first season stars Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.

Little is known about the plans for the second season of True Detective , save for the fact that it is set to shift the action to California, and will feature three or four new leads.
