Sweded trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens

December 29, 2014 by James Garcia

Michel Gondry’s 2008 film Be Kind Rewind may not have been a huge success, but it did have a lasting impression on movie fans, as evidenced by the continued existence of “Sweded” movie trailers. Over the years, various films have gotten these homemade, extremely low-budget recreations. Now, Star Wars; The Force Awakens has joined that list.

Dumb Drum, the folks behind other awesome “Sweded” trailers for films like Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Dark Knight Rises, and Interstellar, have given The Force Awakens the “Sweded” treatment, and once again knocked the concept out of the park. Check out the video below:

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set for release on December 18th 2015 and sees returning stars Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Kenny Baker (R2-D2) and Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) joined by Adam Driver (Girls), Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis), Andy Serkis (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Domhnall Gleeson (Dredd), John Boyega (Attack the Block), Daisy Ridley (Silent Witness), Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones), Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave), Miltos Yerolemou (Game of Thrones), Max von Sydow (The Exorcist), Jessica Henwick (Spirit Warriors), Christina Chong (24: Live Another Day) and newcomers Crystal Clarke and Pip Andersen.
