Kyle MacLachlan confirmed for new Twin Peaks

January 13, 2015 by Scott J. Davis

After months of talk about a new series of David Lynch’s cult classic Twin Peaks, it has been confirmed today that Kyle MacLachlan will return for the new series being made by Showtime.

Showtime President David Nevins confirmed the actor’s return at the Television Critics Association press tour with the help of MacLachlan who joined him on stage and presented him with a “damn good cup of coffee.”

MacLachlan said: “I’m very excited to return to the strange and wonderful world of Twin Peaks. May the forest be with you.”

Original series creator-exec producers David Lynch and Mark Frost will write and produce the nine-episode limited series which will be set in the present day and will go into production this year for a 2016 release.
