David Hasselhoff calls Sharknado 3 “the worst movie you have ever seen”, confirms return for Sharknado 4

March 24, 2015 by Gavin Logan

Former Baywatch star and low-budget Nick Fury David Hasselhoff has been busy promoting his next movie, the made-for-television, biggest shark-infested romp since the last one, Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!

Speaking to HuffPostLive the Hoff could barely contain his laughter when he admitted that the threequel will be “the worst movie you have ever seen.”

Hasselhoff continued, “The first was the worst. The second one I think was even worse than the first. I am so honored to be in Sharknado 3.”

The Hoff is of course having fun with us all by promoting a movie that has strangely garnered a lot of fans since the first was released in 2013. Like all of us The Hoff is fully aware that these movies are made purposely to be bad with the intention of gaining lots of views out of curiosity if nothing else:

“I had so much fun making the movie. The people who make the movie have such a great sense of humor. They are the nicest people. Everybody is in on the joke and it is so much fun.”

The Hoff claims that he “laughed for three days” while making the movie which is also set to star Bo Derek and WWE wrestler Chris Jericho. Tara Reid and Ian Ziering will also return.

Hasselhoff then went on to confirm that there will be a fourth movie in the series. After asking if his character would be killed off the producers said, “No…you’re going to be in Sharknado 4.” He also stated that he thought “this thing is going to go on forever.”

We’re not quite sure what to make of that last comment…

Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! premieres on SyFy on July 22nd.
