Brad Bird reveals that he’s started writing the script for The Incredibles 2

April 9, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Last year, it was revealed that Disney-Pixar is developing a sequel to the animated superhero comedy The Incredibles, and now director Brad Bird has revealed that he has started work on the screenplay for The Incredibles 2, telling NPR’s Ask Me Another that: “It’s percolating. I mean, I’m just starting to write it, so we’ll see what happens.”

Released in 2004, The Incredibles grossed over $630 million worldwide, and received the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, as well as Best Sound Editing. The follow-up is one of several Pixar sequels in the works as Disney, with Finding Dory set to arrive in 2016, Toy Story 4 in 2017, and Cars 3 at an unspecified future date.
