SDCC Rumour Debunked: Is this the full slate of Star Wars films?

July 8, 2015 by Jake Wilson

A possible full slate of Star Wars films has been leaked prior to their announcement at San Diego Comic Con in the next few days. The image claims that the line-up will include Kenobi: The Balance of the Force and Star Wars Anthology: Fett/Solo along with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One and the untitled Episodes VIII and IX.

The image first appeared on the site Imgur and is said to be from Disney/Lucasfilm’s upcoming Hall H presentation at SDCC. But, remember, this could very well be a fake. A similar image was dropped for Marvel’s Phase Three SDCC announcement last year that turned out to be completely bogus, so take this with a pinch of salt for now. Furthermore, yesterday saw the announcement of a Han Solo movie, not a Han Solo/Boba Fett movie.

UPDATE: This has now been debunked…

SEE ALSO: No new Star Wars: The Force Awakens footage will be shown at SDCC

The next Star Wars film in the franchise, The Force Awakens, is set for release on December 18th and sees J.J. Abrams directing returning stars Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Kenny Baker (R2-D2) and Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) in addition to Adam Driver (Girls), Oscar Isaac (A Most Violent Year), Andy Serkis (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Domhnall Gleeson (Ex Machina), John Boyega (Attack the Block), Daisy Ridley (Silent Witness), Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones), Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave), Miltos Yerolemou (Game of Thrones), Max von Sydow (The Exorcist), Jessica Henwick (Spirit Warriors), Christina Chong (24: Live Another Day) and newcomers Crystal Clarke and Pip Andersen.
