Read the first four pages of the rejected Max Landis Fantastic Four script

August 11, 2015 by Scott J. Davis

Unless you have been in a different dimension over the past few days, you will know that Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot is now out in cinemas in the UK and US – and the reaction has been less than stellar.

With a C- rating on CinemaScore and a US opening weekend of just $26million, the new comic-book adaptation starring Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell is set to be the year’s most high-profile failure. We may never know the full story of what happened on and off the set during production, with many stories of re-shoots, re-edits and more.

Now Chronicle writer Max Landis has taken to Twitter to share the first four pages of his rejected script for the film. In Landis’s version, the Fantastic Four are all ready formed, and are seemingly on the run from the US government.

Jordan (Fruitvale Station) as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, Jamie Bell (Nymphomaniac) as Ben Grimm/The Thing, Toby Kebbell (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) as Doctor Doom, Reg E. Cathey (House of Cards) as Dr. Storm, and Tim Blake Nelson (The Incredible Hulk) as Harvey Elder/Mole Man. Listen to the Flickering Myth Podcast review of the movie using the player below:
