Rumour: Hayden Christensen returning for Star Wars: Episode VIII and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

September 22, 2015 by admin

We’ve heard rumours in the past that Ewan McGregor would be coming back to the Star Wars Universe for a trilogy of movies based around his turn as Obi-Wan Kenobi, but a new rumour has surfaced that another Prequel Trilogy star is coming back to the fold.

According to Making Star Wars (who are usually on the money with their scoops), Hayden Christensen is going back into training and the UK team of Star Wars: Episode VIII is flying out to the US to film scenes with him.

“This is a rumor I raise an eyebrow at incredulously. The rumor as I was told it: A team in the U.K. are soon heading to the U.S. to begin training Hayden Christensen for a Star Wars: Episode VIII appearance of some sort.”

So it should be noted here that even Making Star Wars are a bit skeptical about this rumour, so let’s take it with a pinch of salt for now. At present, the website is unsure as to whether Christensen will feature as a ghost, or in a flashback. We’ve heard that Darth Vader will feature in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and will even have an action scene, so the website is speculating that Christensen could be training for appearances in both films.
