At this point, it’s unclear how the Red Priestess will factor in to the story, and what relationship – if any – she will have with Melisandre, played by Carice Van Houten.

Season six of Game of Thrones will get underway in the Spring, with other newcomers to the cast including  Ian McShane (Deadwood), Max von Sydow (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Pilou Asbæk (Lucy), Essie Davis (The Babadook) and Joe Naufahu (Spartacus: Vengeance). Freddie Stroma (UnREAL), James Faulkner (X-Men: First Class), Samantha Spiro (From Hell) and Rebecca Benson (Macbeth) will also play the Tarly family.
