Game of Thrones casts the Tarly family and Icelandic band Of Monsters and Men

Having cast Freddie Stroma (UnREAL) earlier this month as Dickon Tarly, HBO has now announced that it has filled out the cast of Samwell’s (John Bradley) family, with James Faulkner (X-Men: First Class) set to play patriarch Lord Randyll Tarly, Samantha Spiro (From Hell) as mother Melessa and Rebecca Benson (Macbeth) as younger sister Talla.

Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly has revealed that Icelandic folk-rock band Of Monsters and Men are set to follow in the footsteps of Sigur Ros, having signed on to make an appearance in the sixth season of the epic fantasy series.

Season six of Game of Thrones will get underway in the Spring, with other newcomers to the cast including  Ian McShane (Deadwood), Max von Sydow (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Pilou Asbæk (Lucy) and Essie Davis (The Babadook).
