Vin Diesel hints at second Marvel role, teasing Black Bolt of the Inhumans?

October 11, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Despite lending his voice to Groot in last year’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Vin Diesel has dropped a number of teases over the past year suggesting that a second Marvel role could be on the cards in the future, and he’s been at it again at the New York Comic Con, where he’s been promoting his latest film The Last Witch Hunter.

“I can totally be something [else] with Marvel,” Diesel tells io9. “I think playing that role only makes Marvel that much more excited and me having my experience with Marvel, seeing how great they were, makes me more excited. We’ve heard a lot of talk about Marvel wanting to have me play a character that doesn’t have my voice. So my voice is used for Groot and my presence is used for the other character.”

Diesel’s previous teases have leaned towards a role in the Inhumans movie (see the image above, for instance), and his latest comments about the character not having “his voice” would certainly lend itself to that of Black Bolt, the ruler of the Inhumans. Assuming that the rumours of Marvel scrapping its plans for the movie are false, of course…

Would you like to see Diesel as Black Bolt? Or which other Marvel characters would he be a good fit for? Let us know in the comments below…
