Official synopsis for Ghostbusters reboot

November 12, 2015 by admin

It may not be popular with The Internet or fans of the franchise, but Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters reboot will be with us next year (with the trailer arriving before the end of the year), and now we have the first official synopsis.

It backs up a lot of rumours surrounding the movie, mostly that Kristin Wiig and Melissa McCarthy are former friends who join forces to battle ghosts and that Leslie Jones will be playing “the Winston role” as the outsider of the group. It also suggests that, like the original movie, the film will be confined to New York and not a global event.

“With paranormal activity on the rise, a Columbia University academic, her ghost-chasing friend, the friend’s business partner, and an MTA employee join forces to bust ghosts and save New York.”
